Beginners Course 2025

Our Introduction to Beekeeping course covers the basic theory and practical elements of beekeeping.

Our theory sessions for 2025 will be held at Armthorpe  Community Centre, 20 Church St, Armthorpe, Doncaster DN3 3AG. There will be 8  Sessions starting at 7pm on a Thursday night to 9pm. Dates from 6th February to 27th March inclusive.

Our Practical session will be delivered over a designated half day at an association mentors apiary (as long as the weather and restrictions allow.) There will also be "hands on" learning opportunities at our summer apiary visits. Where possible a mentor will guide trainees over a year of beekeeping.

The course costs £120 and includes membership to Doncaster Beekeeping Association,  Yorkshire BKA and British BKA. Junior rates apply to under 18 year olds.
