There will be a presentation by Gerry Collins Titled  “How do I stop my bees from swarming?”

This looks at both prevention and control using a range of methods including Demarree, Pagden, nucleus method, Taranov, Snelgrove, Horsley,Basterfields vertical split.

Alcohol is allowed and if you wish you can bring some food or drink to share as at apiary meetings.

September is our first meeting as the busy beekeeping season slows down. There is usually a meeting with an agenda, and a presentation.

Meetings start at 7:00pm Close 10pm

This is our AGM. The agenda usually includes a summary of the past year by the Chair and the election of committee members and delegates representing the association. 

The Honey Show takes place in November. Entries can be made from 6pm. 

We are using Room 4 for exhibits.

There are rules and recipies in the members' section. 

In room 3 (our usual room), while judging takes place, an agenda is followed and a talk  will take place.

 

There will be a buffet provided and tea and coffee. Please bring any other non alchoholic drinks you wish. There will be a quiz and "special" Christmas raffle. Partner's can accompany you if ticket is bought. Places need to be booked by 2rd December. Please contact Liz for any further information.
